Bosch Growers specializes in year-round greenhouse blackberry cultivation. At our location in Berkel en Rodenrijs, we grow Sweet Royalla: a beautiful, black blackberry with a distinctively sweet flavor.

We focus on the high-end market segment. Our blackberries are intended for retailers, specialty stores, and other buyers who value flavor, appearance, and consistent quality.

Available year-round

Blackberries from Dutch soil are normally highly seasonal. Through our greenhouse cultivation, lighting, and precise production planning, we are able to offer Dutch blackberries all year round.

This allows us to combine year-round availability with the control of modern greenhouse cultivation.

As a result, our customers can choose homegrown blackberries even outside the traditional Dutch season.

Chosen for flavor

When selecting our variety, flavor comes first. Sweet Royalla distinguishes itself with its sweet taste, black color, and beautiful fruit.

This aligns with the market we target. We don’t want to grow a blackberry that only produces well or looks good. Ultimately, the consumer must, above all, find it delicious.

That is why we continuously improve our cultivation and evaluate not only production but also fruit quality and flavor.

Control over cultivation

Year-round greenhouse blackberry cultivation is relatively new. Since starting our blackberry cultivation in 2017, we have conducted many in-house trials to find the ideal growing conditions.

We utilize supplemental lighting in the winter, high-pressure misting for cooling in the summer, and biological crop protection, among other things. Using sensors and cultivation data, we monitor the crop closely and make adjustments where necessary.

In this way, we strive to become a step better with every crop.

For the premium segment

Our blackberries are a perfect fit for buyers who want to differentiate themselves with their soft fruit assortment based on quality and flavor.

We supply, among others:

• premium retail;
• fruit and vegetable specialty stores;
• wholesalers and importers;
• high-end foodservice.

In addition to the Netherlands, our blackberries have also been supplied to retailers in international markets, including the Middle East.
