Blackberries
Bosch Growers is a pioneer in the Netherlands in the field of year-round greenhouse blackberry cultivation. We cultivate the Sweet Royala variety, a very sweet, beautiful, black blackberry.
Greenhouse cultivation of blackberries is a relatively new practice, and through extensive in-house testing and research, we are able to create the ideal growing conditions and continuously optimize the quality of our blackberries. For example, we utilize supplemental lighting to ensure sufficient light during the winter and high-pressure misting to cool the crop in the summer. We have extensive experience in the application of biological crop protection. With the strategy we have developed in-house, we achieve optimal results.
De Berkelse Braam
De Berkelse Braam was born from our ultimate desire to combat food waste. We sell blackberries and blackberry jam at our roadside point of sale and at premium local delicatessens.
The very blackberries we enjoy snacking on most during harvest—ripe and sweet—are sometimes too soft to transport or store. These blackberries are given a wonderful new purpose in our delicious, healthy jam. We produce the jam using traditional methods in small batches, adding as little sugar as possible. The blackberries we use for this are of top quality and—unlike the blackberries in many industrial jams—are unsprayed.
